Business Analysis

By , About.com Guide

Description:
The business analysis is simply an overview and description of the business. It is an opportunity to provide great detail about the business, the industry, and company history if the business is already established. Business owners can present how they see their future business and what they hope it becomes in the business analysis.
What to Include:
When writing the business analysis, be sure to include the following:
  • Where the business will be located
  • When the company started
  • What products or services are sold
  • How the business will operate
  • Who will operate the business
  • Legal structure of business
  • Mission statement
  • Overview of industry
Summary:
The business plan's company description or business analysis should be very detailed. Start with a summary paragraph or two and then include fine points in subtopics. Writing the business analysis will involve conducting industry research to document trends, projects and regulations that may affect the business. If the business is new, add any charts or graphs showing start-up expenses, assets you wish to acquire and what sources of financing you intend to use.
