Fighting Check Fraud

As we're closing our books, I have noticed that the amount of returned checks we received last year was much smaller than the previous year. That's good news for our bottom line. Many retailers may not be so fortunate. The National Retail Federation estimates that retailers loose approximately $6 billion a year in bad checks, and throughout the U.S. economy, check fraud is believed to be a $10 billion a year problem.
