As you it is said in article that "find out competitors weakness and make it your potential strength", this statement is not true as it is not necessary that weakness of someone can be strength of other. Strength and weakness of company depends on SWOT analysis which, is actually not used in correct manner. For example: Weakness of a company is less sales staff so, it cannot be a strength for other company by increasing the sales staff. It depends what you are selling. In this case there is no question of comparison in terms of strength and weakness of competitor.
