Wouldn't it be nice if you could read a book or visit one website about your particular type of retail store and find all the answers to questions asked by a business plan? Unfortunately, that single resource doesn't exist.

Unless you are purchasing a franchise where all of the planning may be done for you, there is no way to know exact startup costs when writing a business plan. Many of the figures for the business plan will need to be estimates. Others can be found through research. Here are few of the most common start-up cost questions for planning a retail business.
