Putting Your Plan on Paper

Wednesday July 19, 2006

Someone asked me once, "Why should I write a business plan? My business will be small, I don't need financing and I can answer any question a plan would answer."

If we have no need to share our business plan with others, we should still have it on paper to serve as a guide. The formality of a business plan validates that ours is a viable business concept worth the effort and it helps plan the steps to achieve our goals. The written business plan doesn't need to be elaborate, but it should be thorough.
